About Our Degree Programs
The Master of Music degree is designed for students who want to enter the industry, as music content providers, specialists in multimedia, or music/audio programmers. It is a two-year program with a final project completed during the second year that demonstrates mastery in areas such as multimedia, sound design and audio programming.
Our undergraduate degree is the Bachelor of Music in Music Technology. Consider also the Bachelor of Arts degree that can be focused in Music Technology.

Master of Music in Music Technology
Requirements for Admission: Each applicant must have a fully completed application on file, including transcripts, letters of reference, and a portfolio demonstrating previous work in music technology.
Qualifications: Applicants may be admitted with a Bachelor’s degree, typically in music. We will consider applicants with degrees in areas other than music provided that there is a significant academic background in music.
Program of Study: This major requires 18 units of credit, which normally take two years to complete. A typical program of student includes one course each quarter in the areas of cores studies, musical studies, and cognate or elective courses.

Masters Final Project: Students must register for Technology Colloquium during their last three quarters of study. Within the Colloquium meeting final Masters projects will be proposed, discussed and evaluated with the faculty. Students must submit a project proposal for approval prior to the start of 485 Masters Project, which is usually taken during the last quarter of study. Students must complete 485 in order to graduate.
